Interior decorating through words (let's see if it works here)

Having spent what seems a large amount of time thinking up ideas for interior designs for a personal project I'm doing (background for the living spaces of the two main characters from the novel) and watching stuff like "Home Front" and, especially last nights, "Grand Design" (a glorious convertion of an old waterworks, but I digress) I've been coming up with phrases for my dream interior design.

Phrases such as:

"Psyhidelic Hindu Love god goes high-tech"

"Matt Huston takes a trip to India"

"The Good Life starring Bill Gates and Jason King"

Stuff to give the idea of a mix of high-tech and eastern morocco/indian designs, seemlessly fitting in with each other.

So, how would you conjure up the necessary images for your ultimate penthouse, lighthouse, mansion, cave, bond villian bunker.

Feel free to add images and/or links to stuff that inspires you in creating your own living space.

Contemporary metropolitan gulag.

Or get a paint colour chart, some of the colours are ludicrous - "Camargue" and "Alibi."

Can just see it now: "I've painted the whole west wing in Alibi. That should fox the police!"

Any chance of a link to actually see what shade of normal colour that is H.I.R?

Alibi and Camargue are both MacPherson's Paint colours. You can find them here. Scroll through the various colours in the "select colour and/or size" box. Unfortunately you can't see the colours, only see their ridiculous names - "Casino" "Barbados" etc. I did have a MacPherson Paint chart which I threw away quite a while ago, and I remember chuckling over "Alibi", but I can't for the life of me remember what colour it was.

There ought to be a name for that degree of pretentiosness. If only so we can identify it, apprehend it, and detain it somewhere it can't do anymore harm.
