Not to get too crabby about this, but why does the comics industry get all worked up about these single token novelty days? Sure, it's cute, but promotion of comics should ideally be a year long thing. Just being seen in public with comics doesn't mean all that much, but consistent (and non-annoying) evangelism is effective in creating new readers.
It's well intentioned, but it just seems a little too cutesy for me, and I just don't like the tone of the guy who wrote that article, especially when he talks about non-comics readers. |
