begin threadrot - well Rothkoid, if you put it like that ... you are forgiven for now, but in a few days time .... I'm not able to say what the consequences might be! - end threadrot

I'm a Libran, which apparently means that I'm unlikely to have much time for horoscopy.

By the way, I once read a factoidoid that said if you have x number of people in a room, there's a 50/50 chance that two of them will share a birthday. And x was a surprisingly small number. 40 or something. Any maths geeks out there (Leos in the main I believe), who know?

The birthday statistic goes that once you have more than 90 people in the same room, the probability is so close to 1 that it's almost certain 2 people will share a birthday. (At 89 people, the probability is .999992.) I'm not really a math person. I just took a philosophy of science class last quarter and we went over this phenomenon.

I'm a cancer: June 26th.

By the time you have 23 people in the room, there's slightly more than a 50% chance that two of them will share a birthday.

Counter-intuitive though it is, I can vouch for that - in our office of 80 we have two pairs of shared birthdays.

All the additional cakes don't make for trim waistlines...

I'm through recognizing this birthday nonsense, I think.
I wonder just how old deric is this year then.

Shall be celebrating my ascension to the thirtys 28th June.

Typical cancerian so I'm told (look at my shiny shell) and born in the year of the ox, which I'm not happy about and have commented at drunken meetings before.

12 April, meaning I can blame my stubborn, loud-mouthed idealism on being an Aries. I'm very susceptible to believing in astrology, largely because I'm quite self-obsessed. But I *do* get on well with Leos on the whole, so it must be true.

Any Scorpios about? Phwoar, but watch them closely.

The day of revolution is the 11th May.

Taurus!

Without doubt the most important, famous and greatest of the star signs.

Ps. I'm destined to find true love with a pisces. (verily, two past girlfriends birthdays were 5th and 4th march)

March 1st. The fishie revolution will not be televised.

It will go 'glub glub'.

I'm a Leo, August 5th.

Most of my best and worst qualities are right in line with the standard Leo profile. However, I never tend to be romantically attracted to what Leo's are meant to be - I always seem to like Cancers and Libras best.

Libras are bad, bad, bad for me, though. I know that now.

*Ahem...* Purr!

Leo, August 7. Thought there should be more kitties around, what with all the fish.
Year of the rat. The recent one. I'm a young'un.

June 5th, got that Gemini dualism thing.
I have been around for a while I just keep changing my name.
I'm just not comfortbale with the same sobriquet for long.

Hey, I'm June 5th too! So that makes 4 of us then. I have 2 more for the original Pisces tally tho', partner is March 10 and son is March 16 (exactly between the Ides of March and Paddy's Day)

June 13. Following Dante, Geminis are not dual; they're multipartite and rarely show all facets of themselves to any one person. :-)

Hmmm. And your foible for moniker changing also enables you to make subsequent posters look a little foolish when a remark loses its addressee. Is that it, 'Following Dante'(that-was-and-now-is-briefly-)"a confused young man"? I can hardly wait for our resident chameleon to change hir name again.

My birthday falls on the Spring Equinox, except on leap years when it is transferred to the Autumn Equinox.

Sir Jack, you are a barbebabe in arms compared to me. I snatched the elephant god from his cradle, you know. Tonight I discovered I was twice as old ass the Bear. Lovely, lovely Bear!

Jeez, there ARE a lot of Pisces (piscii?) on this board...I turned 27 this past Thursday (the 20th, for those obsessed with numbers).

I be the only Scorpio? 30th October, the same day that these people celebrate their birthdays and these people celebrate their deathdays. Also the day of these saints and feasts. And these ones. Year of the Rabbit. Year of ..Cuckoo's Nest, Monty Python & the Holy Grail, Jaws, Shampoo and Tommy.

On the other hand, the year of Tubular Bells.

Nope, you’re not the only Scorpio ‘round these here parts, Mr. Dupre.

I’m a Libra-Scorpio cusp kid (October 20th), but I so ROCK at being a Scorpio that I just ignore the Libra bit. No offense to Libras, of course.

I’m not at all surprised that this board is water baby heavy. I tend to gravitate toward water babes IRL and this board means an awful lot to me (even though I’m not a big poster, I do watch lovingly – I hope that doesn’t sound creepy or anything) and I can imagine getting on with the majority of you very well if ‘ere I have the chance to meet any of you. Or, uhm, if I post here more frequently.

Same here, on the 23rd of October, along with Weird Al Yankovic, Michael Crichton, and the guy who invented canning.

Fishes are supposedly inherently deceptive. Perhaps we all gravitate to the fiction suit concept on account of that.

Or maybe we're just lazy fuckers who never leave our keyboards.
