I've never been in a Starbucks but I believe they are still evil but they may become good next year.

Loomis Green is the new black, but I'm still sticking to the old black.

Oh yeah Digital Cameras are good but mobile phones with digital cameras are more evil that normal mobile phones - funny how the world works

Carphone Warehouse bill me for my service, not Vodafone. Every new connection they sell they bill for and take a cut from the actual connection provider. This is a factor in calculating their evilness.

The fact is that my problem is not signal related, I can be sitting in the cinema, happily chatting away with full signal, and then get cut off. It is either a handset or iron-filing-filled-polystyrene issue.
In any case, when we get right down to the root of the problem... I'm simply throwing my toys about in the vain attempt of snagging a new, free phone. I hate C/W because they can see through the plan.

Ah, that is indeed evil. I say we go back to cans with string. if you and I start, then whoever wants to talk to us will have to do likewise. Then it will spread, and the Carphone Warehouse will crumble!

Bear - I had previously heard that White is the new Black... are my sources wrong or does that mean that, white was the new black, but now green is the new black and black was the old black?

Therefore, are you sticking to the old black (black), the revised black (white) or the brand new black (green) ?

I find it so difficult to keep up with current trends, I'm still wearing those Global Hypercolour t-shirts that change colour when your body gets hot. Mines broken tho

I like that idea Loomis. We'd have to get two set-up, so that we could talk and listen at the same time.

I've heard they are easy to tap tho?

All those damn strings joining the cans - people worry about mobile phone emissions, but just think of the dangers of being strangled by other people's string.

Smoke signals, I say. Or drums.

Dressing up as a giant cock and THEN trashing Carphone Warehouse...now that would be funny...imagine the 999 call to the police: "There's a giant cock trying to smash our window!"

Er...oh look, muffins on my desk.

But then you get people with incompatible kinds of smoke and you need to pay a fee to access their network, and the same with drums. All those reggae musicians on their steel drums will cause my network of snare drums to crash.

String is ecumenical. String belongs to all. And when some snide carphone warehouse exec tries to charge you for longe distance calls, you can say, "how long is a piece of string?"

A real world wide web will be created. But watch out for people with scissors cutting you off.

I was forgetting who I was for a moment there - of course I'm a string advocate. Use your mobile can to find your way home again. Like GPS without the satellites.

Young people today, and all that..

So to change tack completely..

Sad but true I'm afraid Rizla, he died last week in a hotel room. Makes me want to spit out my gum and bat it away with my hand.

Are Starbucks still evil? Are they more evil than depriving me of caffeine? I've been having a terrible time maintaining my anti-capitalist trousers since I got here, the only place I can get coffee 90% of the time is Starbucks.

YES!!! For details, see my rant here.

Very very evil. They almost sued Too Much Coffee Man into oblivion too.

You'd be hard-pressed to find someone who's less of a fan of cell phone over-usage than I, but that's just a load of shit. Or would be if it weren't fake as hell.

Ah, that is indeed evil. I say we go back to cans with string.
Look out for a shipping container with string trailing out of it, then. I want to talk to you sometime in six weeks.

Make sure you wax that string first Rothkoid or the water will get in and make you sound all fishy. But then you are a Pisces aren't you?

I was just waiting for Barry to wholeheartedly concur that Starbucks are still evil. (Not Starbuck off Battlestar Galactica, mind- he was just a bit of a nob.)

I like the shielded cinema idea. I like it a lot. Not so much because of the indisputable annoyance caused by wankers answering theirs, but because of the paranoia that, no matter how many times I take the fucker out of my pocket and check it's turned off, it'll somehow have turned itself back on just in time for the key scene in the movie, at which point it will ring and I'll be beaten to death. (Sometimes it gets so bad I even take the battery out- even though I've never once known it to be able to switch itself on.)

Hattie- giant cocks trashing Carphone Warehouse! THAT's the new black.

Never fear. I have some coloured twine. Fish won't go near it. Though there'd be some cool echoes because of the water. Just watch out for ASIO's ham-fisted attempts to tap the line - you can tell them from the granny-knots...

Maominstoat: I am so happy that I am not the only one who does the battery removal thing. Movies and live entertainment venues - concerts, comedy and the like.
