in daft punk's music video of digital love, they use a japanese cartoon for the whole thing, and I'd really like to know what cartoon this is. tell me if you know.

I believe it was done for them (there was supposed to be a series of three or four?) by Leiji Matsumoto - a Japanese anime creator who is popular in France.

Wow. I feel like such a total jackass - I just woke up and read this thread and got all cranky about it without even NOTICING that it was in music, not comics. Either way, I'm right, the thread needs to be moved and it will be.
