Well, it's out folks - this year's edition of the annual Pazz And Jop critics poll is being published this week in the Village Voice. As per usual, it's made up of all of the records and songs you'd expect to see on a year end list, with virtually everything obscure, unpredictable, or interesting eliminated by a voting system which by its very nature is built to remove individuality and build concensus.
What do you think of the list? I'm curious as to what people here actually like on the list, and what people definitely don't like or haven't heard. |
