What if Tom were kidnapped and never heard from again?

Originally the title was "What if Tom died?", but about halfway through it just felt icky to think of a Barbelonian dying, even as a hypothetical question.

So, what if Tom were kidnapped, or ran away, or got amnesia, and never worked on Barbelith again? Would Barbelith cease to exist? Doesn't Tom pay some sort of fee for this board? I presume if he stopped paying THEY would shut down the board. Would we all have to go to the MillarWorld or something?

Um, I think the problem would be paying the bills for the site and administrative stuff - Tom's presence clearly isn't required for the community to exist, which is proven by how the place gets by just fine when he goes for loooooong stretches without posting. If worse came to worst, we'd just have to pack up and move to a new URL, but it wouldn't have to break up the community.
