They (UK Government) are seriously taking the piss.
This concerns the erradication of the two in a bar rule to DJ's and musicians. In effect no one will be able to perform amplified music anywhere or at any time, without a Public Entertainments License. This even covers rehersal studios and churches.

To be honest, I actually see this one as a point in "our" favour.

Stupid, spur-of-the-moment, unenforceable "initiatives" ALWAYS make the enforcer look bad.

Tony's "On the spot fine for drunk & disorderly" springs to mind. Within 72 hours of the suggestion, Leo Blair was passed out in Leicester Square. Hundred quid fine? Me thought not.

Yes... it's horribly repressive, and a really fucking stupid idea.

But I don't think it's gonna happen. I foresee an embarrassing climbdown on this one, too.
