Over at the Disclosure Project site Greer claims to have discovered a new energy device.

He admits the testings aren't done yet, neither the refinements but the group is publisizing the findings in order to protect themselves from any silencing attempt.

Although he's not in all cases a font of great wisdom and rationality, Art Bell made a great comment on these kinds of stories. To paraphrase, I'm open to all possibilities, but I won't believe any particular set of claims until I see ONE SINGLE WORKING PROTOTYPE, even a simple toy car running on the new technology. Otherwise it's all hot air.

Myself, I'm insufficiently schooled in the subject matter (energy production generally) to really be able to judge these kinds of issues. The "pro-" arguments for things like zero point, cold fusion, etc. all seem convincing enough on paper, but again, without a technical background or specialized knowledge I really don't have the context to evaluate the arguments and evidence presented, and so am vulnerable to flim-flam to the extent I choose to accept these kinds of claims uncritically. So Bell's rule-of-thumb seems like a good compromise position.

I was going to write a summary of last nights announcement by Dr.
Greer, but Mark House has already put out a good one. I would just like to add a hint of the multitude of ways this device can change the world. With virtually free unlimited power available, we can engage in a number of processes that have been prohibitively expensive until now. We can desalinate seawater in huge quantities, Las Angeles will no longer have to appropriate fresh water from upstream. We can scrub the effluents and pollutants from industry to near ZERO. We have had the technology to do that for some time, but the energy cost were prohibitive, and you reached a point where the pollution
put out by the coal fired power plant exceeded the additional gain
where you were trying to scrub. Between cleaning up industrial emissions, replacing dirty power production (about half the air pollution in the US comes from power production plants), and replacing internal combustion of fossil fuels,
we can drastically clean up the environment within the next ten years.


I was recently in eastern Oregon, and with the stagnant winter
atmospheric conditions, the air was quite polluted even in that rural area. My brother said that a lot of the pollution actually came from China. As the developing nations try to catch up with us, they are not going to the expense of cleaner manufacturing, and it affects us half way around the world. There is a Brown Cloud over much of Asia and Indonesia that reduces visibility to less than a mile, forcing multitudes to wear surgical masks and at times breathe oxygen. Much comes from the incomplete combustion of bio-fuels like wood and even manure. With this technology available inexpensively, we
can transform those old environmentally harmful ways of life to simple
distributed electrical systems. We will no longer need to suppress the
Third World in order to insure OUR free flow of oil to keep our economy going, putting an end to the cost of troop deployments and corrupt foreign policy biased by the politics of Oil. In fact, every aspect of business and manufacturing will become drastically more efficient, which should lower costs and prices to consumers on virtually everything. This will create a new level of prosperity for all peoples of the world, with everyone having the ability to purchase more for less, and having more left over for charities and social programs.


Folks, this is the Upward Spiral we have been looking for. This is
self-empowering to all of humanity. This is a major paradigm shift for
the planet that even those of us working on the project are only beginning to fully comprehend. Please support us in getting this out to the world without suppression by the powers that be. Contact your representatives, your business executives, and anyone else who would benefit, and demand that this be carried forward. Make so much noise that they can't bury it or us!
We are on the front lines right now, and it is going to be difficult to convert those who are employed or invested in the current energy sector, but hopefully by offering them manufacturing and other jobs in the new industries they can hedge and profit even as the old energy sector shrinks.

It is a brave new world folks, welcome to it!

GN: Good. Always a pleasure. Zero Point Energy. Is there an organization or an individual actually working on this?

SG: Well, we are of course. I'm not so sure it's really zero point energy. Some would say it's the quantum vacuum flux field energy. There are a lot of people with different theories about it. But as you know, we have formed a group called Space Energy Access Systems, which is a company that is in the process of identifying and testing technologies, machines, devices that claim to - put simply - put out more energy and electric power than we have to put into it, which of course, supposedly cannot be done, but in fact it can be. The reason I'm speaking with you tonight is that we have apparently - and I'm going to qualify my words very carefully here --

SG: But it appears that we have found such a "Holy Grail"-type device, a very serious invention held by an inventor. My scientific advisor and the board of directors of this group - our group - have recently done an onsite inspection and testing of this system and I can tell you that, except for some of the extraterrestrial devices in UFOs that I've seen, this is the most astounding material object I've ever seen in my life. And that's saying something.

So the reason I am speaking about this at this very early stage of its discovery is that the millions of people listening tonight are our protection. Those of you who are listening to this should tell everyone they know that this is a thing coming down the path. It is our intention to protect this system, get it tested, get it perfected, get it out to the public and terminate the need for gas and oil and coal and start an entirely new sustainable civilization on this planet, and that is long overdue. It could have happened probably fifty years ago or more. But it's now time for us to do it as a people. The people who are hearing this for the first time need to understand that I have considered carefully whether or not to even talk about it at this stage, but we felt for security reasons it's very important to talk about this.

If the testing and development of this holds up, it will be the single most important scientific breakthrough in the history - the recorded history - of the human race, and that is not an overstatement.


Color me skeptical....

This device gathered, very passively, less than one watt of power from the environment - I won't say how it was done, I'm not allowed to at this point - and the machine started up. It generated hundreds of watts of power in usable form, actually running, and we were astonished to see this. We hooked this up ourselves, so it was no mystery about it. We even selected the things to hook up to this thing. It ran a 300-watt light bulb, a 100-watt light bulb, a stereo and an oscillating fan with an electric motor, all at the same time with literally no artificial manmade input of power. So, this is of course an extraordinary scientific breakthrough.

Interesting, though.

We are requiring that - we have an agreement with the inventor to have a more robust version of this device made in the coming month or two. It will then go through further research and development and reproduceability studies, meaning we must be able to independently reproduce the effects. It will then be tested in at least three independent government and university labs which we have already pre-selected for their honesty and cooperation, and when all those ducks are lined up....

Let's see what happens once that's done.

OOooo. It appears I'm not alone in this skepticism thing.

Frankly there have been so many free-lunch perpetual-motion machines announced that by now, the burden of proof is on the creator.

I can't greet them with anything more than a tired yawn nowadays. Something that actually works, that would be interesting, but somehow they never seem to.

I mean, if someone created something like this that actually worked, what could they do to stop its suppression by "the powers that be"? Just fucking write a complete report, attach very detailed blueprints, and mail/e-mail it to every fucking Scienific Magazine/Journal, University, and Government on the planet. At least one of them is going to perfect it and everyone else has to follow to not get left behind. (Of course, if you do it my way you're not gonna get rich but the world will be a better place.)

The fact that they're associated with all these UFO kooks makes me utterly doubt this great new invention.

I can tell you that, except for some of the extraterrestrial devices in UFOs that I've seen...

Its really hard to take anyone seriously as a scientist after a casual drop like that.

Well, I must admit that, apart from some Neptunian warlords I've talked with, this guy seems to be one of the most believable people I've ever come across.
