Mr CB - I suspect you mean "Chaos Servitors" - this phrase is a bit of an ugly hammering together of two concepts, one being the whole Chaos magick thing, the other being the idea of servitors - which is just a posh word for "spirits". I'd suggest doing a search of the archives here for a start, on spirits/servitors and having a look at Phil hine's book "Prime Chaos" or this section of his website.

I have come across the concept of chaos satelites, generally in connection with the idea of the chaosphere. I don't really have any experience with this, but as far as I can ascertain they're like orbiting servitors which you conceptualise as hovering above a specific geographical area over which they cast their influence. As far as launching them goes, I don't think the concept has really been around long enough (at least not in this sense) for any hard and fast rules to apply. The best approach would be to apply creativity to the launching process and come up with something that feels instinctively right. Mr Illmatic's suggestion of reading up on servitor/spirit work is probably a good starting point for brainstorming ideas.

On the question of fucking up and looking a fool, this doesn't really ever go away, unless you decide to stop learning or developing as a magician. I don't think there's any shame in making a mistake if you learn from the experience and ensure you don't repeat it.

There's also Hine's "Chaos Servitors- A User's Guide" which I know Atlantis used to stock. (Though I dislike- much as it's valid- his use of "Star Trek" references as aids to visualisation.)

The chapter on Servitors is "Prime Chaos" is pretty much a reworking of that.

Does it work?
Yes = True
No = False

The only opinion that matters is yours. Only you have the benefit of the experience of being you and of living your life.

BTW, many of the satellites we use for communication, television etc, particularly the irregularly shaped ones, are described as having a chaotic orbit. (Just to tie Chaos Magick and Chaos Theory back together every now and then...)

Here's a Z-Cluster website which has an example chaos satelite ritual, as well as loads of other useful stuff. As Gypsy says, there's no 'one way' to launch/use these kind of creations - just make something up yerself.

Its better to ask your question and look like a fool for a minute, than not to ask your question and be a fool for the rest of your life.
