First of all, hello!

I am a girl from Autria (Euroupe), big Comic-fan, however, the help I need:

I have to make a presentation about the media in U.S.A before and after the 11th September attack. How have medias like newspapers, television, internet and so on changed, how did they react? Did YOU notice a obvious change? I think a perspective from people who live in the U.S. would be heplfull!
Speciall questions:
Did the newspapers, television...make report about the civil causalties in Afghanistan because of US bombs?
Was there any media, which doubted the guilt of Osama bin Laden?

Tell me more!
Thankx and sorry for any grammer mistakes!

It's not the answer to your question but maybe it will be a beginning to it. At least on the internet

There's always Greg Palast, though I think this stuff is more about censorship and the 2000 election.

I guess most of you are tired of this topic...nobody else?

I didn't have a TV from June to December 2001, so I'm afraid I can't help you. I just wanted to add that Austria is the most amazing place I have ever been, especially Graz. Wow.

Coverage of Middle Eastern events has increased; however, it's likely to be from a "look at these potential terrorists" or "look at these tragic, valiant Israelis" point of view.

Reports on civilian casualties were very hard to find. They did exist, but were buried under the weight of reports telling of successful forays into caves and the remarkable success of unmanned Predator drones in blowing up bad guys. Oh, and food drops. I remember lots of photographs of the Army dropping crates of food.

No mainstream media doubted the guilt of Osama bin Laden. Occasionally, there'd be a question or two on National Public Radio.

No mainstream media offered any other suspect, or has ever detailed any other known Al Qaeda leaders, as far as I know. These are only ever announced after they've been killed (as in the Predator drone strike in Yemen).

There are currently some hints that people are wondering how Hussein could possibly be linked to Tower Day, but it's very much an undercurrent.

Well, thanx to everyone.
Did you know about the exitement of human right groups because of the "prison" on Kuba (I think) where potential terrorists were brought. There was exitement, but not enough.

Thank you
