Sweet Holy Christ.

This game is utterly addictive.

The only bitch I have is that they don't tell you the ones you missed...!

My top score so far has been 1999. I keep knowing that songs are by Neil Young but I never remember the names.

It's an old pub quiz favourite. Thought: what's the US equivalent of a pub quiz?

They really need a wider selection on there - it's very geared towards a certain demographic. Somebody's copy of The Velvet Underground & Nico got a *lot* of use the day they put this together.

Jack, I guess the reason for not giving the answers at the end is to try and even the playing field a bit. There's a lot of repetition of certain tracks, and if the answers were provided it wouldn't take five minutes to get the high score.

That said, I can't score any higher than 160. Always have been piss poor at these things.

Personal best of 262. When you've got a five out of five, it's really down to typing speed and accuracy, and I'm just not that fast.

The wife touch-types, so we tried it with me dictating—but out scores as a team were lower than my scores solo: the lag between my speaking and her fingers erased any advantage her faster typing may have brought.

205. Never seem to get five in a row. I just got the two Hendrix numbers back to back in the same round, which means that eventually you're bound to get five (would have made more sense to make sure that the game didn't give you more than one track by the same artist each time).

It's a bit unfair when you get a round of five long-winded titles, too.

How bored am I?

CALIFORNIADREAMINGTHEMAMASANDTHEPAPAS is the worst one, I think.

Yep. Takes the mick when you've got a chance of getting PINKMOONNICKDRAKE instead.

Personal best of 18 so far. I think the only two I got, on seperate rounds, were 'Maggy May' by Rod, and 'Beautiful Stranger' by Mads. Didn't guess any of the others, except one where I knew the artist was Bob Dylan purely because of the mouth organ action. There was one where I recognised the music but couldn't guess the title or musician.

I didn't realise I knew so little of music from before I was born.

Now, if Radio 1 did something similar, or Radio 3 where the 'intros' take 15 minutes, I might do better.

I haven't tried this game, but I know I'm really, really bad at it, as anyone who's ever heard me say "What's this? it sounds quite good.." when one of my favourite songs in the entire world ever starts playing will testify..

269 ain't good enough any more.

I hate these things. There are intros there that I know (I only just remembered Ray of Light ferchristsakes) but can't place. Doubly annoying when you mistake one for something else, then can't stop associating that intro with that (incorrect) answer. In this case, there's one on there that I keep thinking is I Could Be So Good For You (Theme from Minder).

And Denis Waterman doesn't really belong with the VU, Bowie...
