I'll speak for everyone here:

Oh boy! Phillip Bond!

They really know how to pick the guest artists on this.

Looks nice. Not a lot to say other than that.

I don't think I need to make my slavish devotion to the Bond any clearer - it's Phlip Bond's world, we just live in it, etc etc.

So: I don't suppose anybody reckons Miligan is actually going to bring Edie back to life - or do they? From the title it's entirely possible that this issue will be based around diaries written by Edie before her death - or maybe fakes of the same, like the infamous Hitler diaries? The latter would definitely fit in with the title's continuing satire of celebrity culture.

Or maybe it's a double-bluff and she's really coming back. Nah...

Do you know what, though? I'd forgive him if he did bring her back.

Not that I think he really will.......sniff.....

Seems to me that the more appropriate way to "fit in with the title's continuing satire of celebrity culture" would be, rather than physically resurrecting Edie or faking her diaries, to examine her posthumously-published, juvenile & over-hyped diaries (vide Cobain). For comics to most closely mirror "reality" here, Guy would have to profit from said diaries, introducing a new theme of Edie-exploitation. Oh, and he'd have to be a skank.

Apparently Joe Q. confirmed that the resurrected celebrity soon to be appearing in the pages of X-STATIX will indeed be Princess Di, as many have suspected. It's the headline in a Newsarama story, but every time I try to click on the link it's busted. Apparently Marvel had to go through a lot of legal research to make sure they could do this without getting sued by her estate.

Let the games begin!! Unlike Waid's abrupt and seemingly needless firing from FF, this is some GOOD news coming out of Marvel! Can't wait to see what comes next from the twisted mind of Peter Milligan!!

The Newsarama transcript of the Fanboy Radio interview with Joey Q here.

Pulse also has the story.

"In an interview at Fanboy Radio, Marvel Comic’s Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada told Fanboy that Princess Diana from X-Statix is going to return in issues # 13 and 14."

Some of those idiots at Pluse equating Diana's death with 9/11 need a kick up the arse pronto, and if I have to strap on the metal toecaps, then so help me god.

This plot idea is what 2000ad should be like had rebellion not turned it into a bad rouge trooper fan fic archive.
