I'm not objecting to an ongoing THE CALL series -- I read the first issues of the various minis and they were ok but not overwhelming. The firefighter first issue was the best, followed by the police first issue. After those they all just got boring to me.

But what I'm saying is this: what the hell is this cover?!? The fireman has talon-like hands and looks he's holding a pumpkin-bomb in his hand? The guy on the left looks like a Rob Leifeld-drawn superhero with a Really Big Gun?? The girl in the back looks like a superheroine with tassels/satin twirl-thingies coming off her hands, with skintight purple bodysuit and breasts sticking out?? The girl on the far right looks like a Satanic mouth with fangs is devouring her left side?

Please help me understand!!! This painter is good, he's also doing an X-Men Encyclopedia cover with Wolvie (see www.newsarama.com's article about Marvel's recent press conf.), but what the heck is this CALL cover supposed to show??? Demonic superhero versions of the book's protagonists??!!?

It reminds me of the british comic about the guy who gets all cyberized in the mid 90s, marvel uk, same time as deths hed 2 i think.

oh what the fuck?!? I don't believe I've ever seen that cover. er maybe I have but either it didn't register or the memory space was recycled.
