Giving up magic to concentrate on music...

Hey all.

I won't bore you with the why of it, but I think my magicking days are over. It feels superfluous. My goal was always (trans)personal development, and I think I've gone as far with the magic aspect of that in this incarnation as I need to.

Why am I telling you all this?

Reasons. Well, because I wanted to tell you all that it's been (un)real. And secondly because I wanted those of you who have been involved in the Transducer experience to know that I will be continuing that working by trying to get as many individuals plugged in to the transducer memecomplex as possible, via the song.

Using my music as a conduit for the groupmindintent of the board worked very well for the music, so I would like any of you who were involved in the Mango to feel free to use the link we established then to hi-jack my head at your convenience for such purposes of societal transformation and/or redemption, somewhat in a postmodern bardic tradition.

I will still be around on the board sometimes, probably, and will certainly recieve PMs, but I think my posting days (here, at least) are done.

All I can say is I don't think you realize how much I ** LOVE ** the Peace Mango Song!!! I still sing it to myself all the time, a full year after its creation, after I first heard it. You are very talented and you will kick ass in the musical world. As I recall, weren't you using magick to help you advance in your music career? What kind of results did that yield?

And why do you feel your magickal stuff must end completely if you're focusing on music? Did it take up that much time? Can the two still compliment each other?

Just curious, not trying to convince you to change your mind. You're very cool and your music rocks. I'll still play the Mango song over and over and play it for my friends. Long live the Naked Flame!!

I seriously love this song. I'm a musician also and have recorded some songs, and I really think this song & its arrangement just sounds so FULL and fun and unique! The backup vocals, the lead vocals, the harmonies, the infectious hook/melody, the guitar, the spoken/rap middle section, the fun vocal vamps at the end, the lyrics -- I think this is a masterpiece. I listened to some of Naked Flame's other songs on the mp3 page linked there and the Peace Mango is by far my favorite!

there intetntions are simple:
to construct huge ambient soundscapes, laced with eerie cinematic psychotic loops, droned out melodic guitars and fat trashy beats but behind all these pseudonyms lies a more intricated and wholesome meaning.

if any of u are interested please feel free to mail at aetherflux@hotmail.com also if any of u out there have any ideas and want to amplify ur imagination thats what aether flux are there for, i think some of them use magick as well, but i'm not going to speak for them as i'm not too clear on where the stand on that platform.

i think music defiently can have certian type of phenomenon attached to it, for example havea ny of u heard of the 'boards of canada' a band similar to aether flux where they use rituals, and hidden subliminal messages in their music.
their album geogaddi has many layers for which u can discover, they even name-check an old egyptian ritual of 'opening the mouth' also they are 23 tracks on the album...hmmmm coincidence(rubs chin)

More interestingly, track 23 is Magic Window, which is entirely silent. As proposed elsewhere, this seems to signify 0, The Fool in tarot and inspires thought about exactly what the musicians did or did not do during the recording of that track.
