Healing: Using the Chakras and Kabbalah for medical ailments

My personal magic system includes the synthesis of the chakra and kabbalah. To expand on that a bit further, the combining of the 17 power spots overlaps in areas. The throat chakra corresponds to the Daath (which shows the power of langage, for obvious reasons) as well as overlaps on the "will" and the "sex" regions (which displays the form of control over man...language,will and sex) but that is for another thread.

The point is: I suffer from Diabetis. According to my research, this affects quite a few Virgos, as well as Thyroid problems. I then noticed the Chakra system associates both ailments to the "sex" chakra.

The question: Does anyone know of any magical workings that couuld possibly "cure" the ailment?

I really hope to see this thread go in the direction I am hoping for. So please any thoughts, observations or suggestions are more than welcome.

You might get some ideas for chakra healing from http://www.sahajayoga.org/WhatIsSY/index.html

My advice is to concentrate on what I assume you would think of as your Malkuth Chakra, and ask the Goddess for help. By calling upon a power from below (Goddess Planet Earth has been around a long time and knows a lot more about all this stuff then we do) you should be able to get the job done.

I can foresee two possibilities:

One. You may feel a hot sensation in your sex chakra, in which case, just relax and wait until it feels cool. If it doesn't cool down, it may take several goes over several days before the damage is repaired. When the damage is repaired, you will feel the heat change to a cool sensation.

Two. You may feel a channel of energy rise up through your entire chakra system and extend to a point an equal distance above you as the distance to the source below you, and you may also then feel a reply channel of energy coming back down. If this happens, just relax and don't interfere with the conversation. They'll let you know where to go from there.

Whatever happens, please let us/me know.

Evy, where did you learn about sahaja yoga? I posed a link to the SY site some months ago and this is the first time I've seen anyone else mention it here on the Lith besides me. I'm actually going to one of their meetings tonight - their meetings are always free!

Evy seeems to know hir stuff. Thanks for that BTW. I will give it a try.

Could the illness be a blockage? Would "Tantra" help?

I was diagnosed two years ago and I am insulin dependant...now insulin addicted. I truly believe I do not suffer from this ailment. It's not just possitive thinking...I really do believe that.

Thank you very much

Many illnesses can be understood as a blocked energy channel. It may be that you do not suffer from any ailment. Only that you have a blocked energy channel which is causing the symptoms that a doctor has matched with an ailment out of his training.

Tantra may help, so might Tai Chi or Reiki, but I obviously prefer the recommendations I have already made, otherwise I would have recommended these things from the start.

Oh.... god....
Of all the synchronicities and coincidences i've faced here, this one is the most... amazing...
I'm diabetic too.
As a matter of fact (and i think i've mentioned this in the forum) i got into magic searching a cure for diabetes

I worked more on the psichological/psychosomatic side, searching for a traumatic experience or problematic situation that generated the energetic block. Haven't goten anything yet. My father (also a diabetic) has achieved some results by a combination of ego humiliation and mediation.

If you wish, we can exchange information by private mail, or we can post it, for the posible benefit of others.

For now, an insulin cheers >clink<

Do everything. Look into Reiki, Tantra, Tai Chi, Chi Qong, yoga, new age and psychic healers. Non-magically, go on a massive detox, natural supplements, herbal and vegan diet regime, and a good exercise program. I recommend Gary Null's books. By the way, Caroline Myss correlates Vishuddha with Gevurah and Chesed, and Ken Wilber correlates Vishuddha with Tiferet. I would be extremely cautious and very careful about incorporating Daath in a Kabbalah system, at least as a working, functioning sephirot. I could put together a chakra/kabbalah recommended reading list.

I would ignore Daath and think of the throat chakra as the High Priestess[13] between Kether(Crown[1]) and Tithereth(Beauty[6]).
This way Kether being Fire and Tithereth also being Fire make by balance the throat chakra Water, the element of communication.

Spot on Evy. In my personal experience;

Sahaja Yoga works on clearing the central channel from blockages allowing successful raising of kundalini through the crown.
Though SY also does this, Tantra is particularly good for clearing the Ida and Pingala (left and right channels) and protects from any imbalance whilst raising energy thgough the chakras by unifying their male/female energies in the Sushumna, central channel.

Tai Chi and Chi Gung circulate the energy around the *whole* system, not just main 'organs' like the chakras, which helps to push through blockages in any part of the system. I have healed myself with both; from damaged joints to nervous tension, though in a non specific way, I didn't focus on the damaged part, the healing happened spontaneously). Reiki also does this, (but obviously during a session the recipient recieves treatment from another party). During the treatment, blocks anywhere in the system make themselves know and can then be treated directly.

As well as establishing a balanced circulation of energy, targeted Chakra work seems, to me, to be the key to correcting *specific* disorders, like diabetes.

I would use Tai Chi/Chi Gung to act as a 'tune-up', generally keeping the energy circulating, balanced and building a reserve to help in times of stress/ilness and increase 'well-ness'. I would use SahajaY/Tantra/KundaliniY/Middle Pillar Sephoroth to pinpoint the root location of the problem/block and act as 'surgery'on the aflicted centre, going back to some gentle Chi Gung for speedy 'post-op' recovery.

I've always considered the tree/chackra map to be fairly straightforward. By that, each virtical level of the tree corresponds to a chackra. 7 levels, 7 chackras:

7 kether
6 binah/chochma
5 gebura/chesed
4 tipharet
3 hod/netzach
2 yesod
1 malchuth

It doesn't work that way very well cusm, but I see where you're coming from. However, I would match binah, chochma, gebura, chesed, hod and netzach with the right and left chi channels in the body, not the central channel where the chakras are.

Hm, there's a thought. 1 2 4 and 7 match just right, but I have always had a bit of a hard time justifying the others. Doesn't *quite* work. I'll have to ponder on mappings to the side channels.

The other way to do it seems to be using the paths:

7 kether
6 gimel (high priestess)
5 tipharet
4 samech (temperence)
3 yesod
2 gimel (world)
1 malchuth

But that then puts tipharet on the throat rather than the heart, which can work with a little shoehorning but isn't how I normally see that sphere.

Naa, don't like it. Its easier for me to see the center of chi as the interaction of fire and water, the throat the arbitrator between severity and mercy, and the third eye the key to wisdom and understanding.

Looking at the paths in question:

Third eye = Empress. No, don't see it. Yet,the letter is Dalet, which is door. The eyes are the window (door) to the soul?

Throat = Strength. Doesn't work too well, but when you consider the letter Tet means serpent, the forked tongue is all very meaningful in this case.

Navel = Tower. Well, it does have to do with power... Peh is Mouth. My head isn't wrapping around that one. Yet the Mars aspect here, the thunderbolt, that is appropriate. Thic chackra is the seat of internal power, and the tower is a lesson of the use of power. So, maybe thers is something usable there.

Binah and Chokmah are generally considered to be the right and left hemispheres of the brain, Geburah and Chessed the right and left arms, and Hod and Netzach the right and left sides of the abdomen. Kether the top of the head, Tithereth the stomach, Yesod the base of the spine, and Malkuth the universe/reality/Tao/Zen/life.
