Can anyone recommend a really good gig listings website for the UK?

It's come to my attention that the processes by which I find out about where & when bands are playing are fairly vague and it's concievable that some stuff, well, falls through the net, so to speak..

Case in point: found out yesterday that some of my friends have somehow acquired free tickets to see (cough, choke, splutter) the Yeah Yeah Yeahs supported by Ikara Colt (!!!) in Manchester.. why wasn't I infomed??

And so on.

Obviously I'm OK for getting tickets in advance for bigger shows, but a good source of info regarding medium/smaller ones would be damn useful..

I usually go for trusty old www.ticketmaster.co.uk because I don't have much imagination when it comes to the Internet. Mind you, they did advertise a last-minute offer to see Motorhead at Wembley for twenty quid. For maintstream kind of tours and shows, this is probably one of your best bets, definitely. Otherwise, can't really help you I'm afraid. Good hunting, though!

I read about the Yeah yeah yeahs/Ikara colt gig on http://www.transdis.cjb.net/. Not really a gig listing site, though.

http://www.livegigguide.com/ is pretty good and covers a fair few small/medium gigs (for example, front page at the moment announces some more Ikara/Yeah Yeah Yeah gigs...)
