So, I listen to internet radio stations all day at work. I've found a lot of great ones that blow old fashioned radio away. but I'm sure you all know som great ones I've never heard of, so...

what are your favorite internet radio stations? and if possible, could you include a sample of some of their playlist?

I'm current really digging www.radioio.com. They're a good for the place kind of mellow, without being dull or sleepy. Right now they're playing Wilco. Here's the last ten songs they played:

Poi Dog Pondering - The Chain
Tragically Hip - Throwing Off Glass
Pulp - Wickerman
Fleming And John - Ugly Girl
Ani Difranco - Not A Pretty Girl
Frank Zappa - Camarillo Brillo
Cash Brothers - Nerve
Andy Stochansky - Stutter
Samples - Still Water
Tracy Chapman - Another Sun

You know, we have a lot of other threads about this topic.

Either way...WFMU is pretty much the be-all/end-all of radio, broadcast over the airwaves or streamed over the net. No one can touch them.

Having spent much of last week listening to it's archives, I can (predictably enough) recommend the Careless Talk Costs Lives radio show at totallyradio.com..

Just bumping this thread up to promote some friends of mine.

http://www.theoryradio.org/

(the quasi-official radio station of Gigsville -- a bunch of happy mutant f***heads from Burning Man)

...will be holding its annual Christmas Eve Christmass Drunktacular, tonight starting around 7:00 PST (that's... what? 1:00 AM GMT?) and running until the last DJ drops long past midnight.

Tune in for a mutant blend of Christmas audio gems from punk to funk-ass and just about everything else along the way.

Just tune to: http://www.theoryradio.org/

And happy Kwaanza!
