MAKE IT STOP!

I have this constant buzzing, or humming in my head. Sometimes, I hear a ring too, that is so loud I cannot hear anything else. I am not insane (I don't think so anyway), but it drives me crazy sometimes.

What the hell is this? It has been going on for years but has gotten louder recently. Can I do anything to stop it? Should I stop it?

Please help before everything just becomes white noise.

ARRGHH!

I get this from time to time too, if you listen carefully to the noise that's when you start to hear the voices.

Ahem not sure what it is to be honest, just one of those things I thought, hmmm anyone know the causes?

It's probably Lizards.

Its Tinnitus. Yowch.

Do you fire guns (not being facetious)? Or work around heavy machinery? If you are in an environment with high noise levels, you need earplugs fella. Do you go clubbing a lot?

There is no cure, or way to alleviate it, but assuming you have done no permanent damage to your eardrum, it will fade away. Can also be brought on (or back) by stress etc.

My heartfelt pity goes out to you, cos it is a toal fucker...Take it easy, stay away from loud noise, and hopefully it will diminish. See an audiologist - your GP will fix you up with one.

You know it also seems to happen if there's allot of electrical equipment on, but that's possibly just me being paranoid.

The loud noise thing makes sense, I'll put my ear plugs in the next time I'm out hunting game.

Damn, I spent most of my life in various loud strip clubs, only to go and party later at a loud boozecan. At one time, I did wear earplugs (About the time I became a vegan and all my sense were very sharp.) but even with earplugs, I can still hear this undulating and fluctuating buzzing. There has to be a cure dammit! And yeah, it gets worse when I am stressed.

Hey, I used to live with an Iguana. Ya think?

At the risk of changing the subject, can I ask you to expand on this?

Temporary ringing in the ears can be caused by all kinds of things: injury, infection, changes in the pressure in the fluid within the ear. Some of these can be treated, some of them will clear up by themselves.

The bad news is that if you have tinnitus caused by damage to the hair cells in the ear (LOUD NOISES will do that) it's pretty much permenant. It can have a huge impact on one's life-- some people get so desperate that they have their hearing destroyed rather than live with the tinnitus anymore.

The good news is that you can get around the problem by training yourself not to focus on the tinnitus. In May's case, conentration drills and other familiar magickal tools can easily be used to shift the mind's focus.

Great idea Mordant, I had not thought of using magickal technique to subdue this. Thanks.

My dad's got it, but it seems to have lessened over the years through herbs, tea, pot, etc. There's a lot of info and groups online if that's what it is.

Damn! That really works Mordant!

I simply turned the volume down. I mean like, duh!, how obvious was that? LOL! I can still feel pressure but the sound is gone.

Thank you.
