Hello!

I've been posting here for a few days now and I've just realised that I forgot to introduce myself.

My name is Mike or Evy, Mike being derivative of my first name, and Evy being derivative of a name that was given to me just before my 21st birthday.

I was chatting with someone in a pub and he gave me the address of this site and told me that I should check out this forum - so here I am.

Please note that posts from this forum may reappear on my site at http://mike.jtbc.net but only where they are to/from me. Although I've never had any complaints about this practuse I think I should warn you so that there are no unpleasant surprises.

Hating to talk about myself I can't think of anything else to say.

Looking forward to the discussions.

Howdy. Introductions really belong more in the Conversation than here in the Magick, but whatevah. This thread might move there on its own.
What do you do for kicks?
And, to try to be topical, what do you do for magicks?

hello too!
i am also well new having stumbled here on a long web link journey. It is nice to have finally found somewhere populated by humans who can write in sentances and paragraphs.
i am fairly low key on the magik front but am generally on a discodian/chaos/crowley kick, but no affiliations.

Any pointers?

Since this thread is already about introductions (though in the Magickal section) I guess this is a good place to throw in mine.

I totally strayed upon Barbelith while doing some surfing re: New York pagan groups etc. and from moment one I was amazed. I had known about some of the Magickal databases like ChaosMatrix but had no idea that there was such an active and living magickal themed board around. A very pleasant encounter.

From a young age I have always been fascinated by science and magick both. I think it is an inherent but too often denied part of our psychology to recognize that the universe is not a fixed set of things, that cause and effect can be both confused and can interact in very non-linear ways, yet at the same time we are pattern recognition computers and we look for understanding of various kinds.

My first introduction to any kind of group or organized magickal system was TOPY back when it was young. A freind mentioned it to me and thought I might be interested. I was. Despite it's role as fan club of sorts for PTV it was also a great connecting of disparate yet searching minds. No gods, no demons, just individual (if there really is such a thing) conciousnesses trying to participate as fully as possible in this strange and colourful universe.

This post is too long already, I am glad to have found this site and blessings to every participant.
