Two minutes ago I was in the kitchen at work, making a cup of tea. As I waited for the kettle to boil, I was staring blankly into space. In front of me was an electrical switch, with a note stuck on it saying "Do not switch off (fridge)" and I honestly, for a split second, thought it was a note to Fridgemagnet. Or whatever he's calling himself.

Should I be worried?

I think you should - made me laugh though

Maybe you should ask Fridgemagnet what the switch is for?

Mourne Kransky

No reason to worry as long as you didn't switch him off. If you did, he'll be pissed off when someone switches him back on, and he'll come looking for you with his vegetable crisper set to stun.

I reckon your boss should be worried!
But then I can't really talk.

Oh, so can't I leave you notes now? It was just a simple request...

Ariadne

I actually thought the note was for you, as though you were particularly prone to turning off switches. Are you?

There's only one way to solve the conundrum and unravel the enigma- turn the fucker off!

Or get fridge to do it.

We need to conduct a live on-line experiment, with Fridge posting to a thread every 30 seconds and then Ari pressing the switch to see what happened.

I've had similar experiences. Only yesterday I saw a Michael Stipe look-a-like wearing leather trousers in the office so I rushed up and grabbed his arse and shouted: "All right, Ganesh!" I was really embarrassed when it turned out to be the new managing director.

As opposed to a serial killer, say, who's merely misguided?

I turned off the switch - and now the whole world has turned into a fridge. The snow is piling down outside - even Tottenham Court Road looks pretty, which is quite something.

Oh, so this winter wonderland is all you doing? Yay for Ariadne!

(Us commie rodent-trolls LOVE snow.)

So are we to assume that Ariadne's fridge is some sort of advanced season contaiment system, and by shutting off the power grid she has inadvertantly unleashed a winter wonderland upon us? Blimy. I wonder what happens when she turns on the toaster...

Ariadne
08:19 / 08.01.03
Now there's a thought. I'll hang off till we all have time to build snowpeople first.

Ariadne
08:24 / 08.01.03
Actually ... we don't have a toaster here, just a microwave. I think I'd best leave that one firmly plugged in.

But I am a smiley , benevolent serial killer, particularly with all this lovely lovely snow out of my window. Looks like Scotland *sigh*.

Beware of the day Ariadne the Weather-witch activates the office watercooler. Après-elle le deluge!

I think she did that last week!

Woah, I love snow. Just took the dogs out to the cemetery and it's looking fucking beautiful!

(And my little car looks mental covered in the stuff too.)

(sings) Let's build a snowman!

(ahem. sorry. "Cannibal- The Musical" has once more taken over my brain.)

God, it snows in London and you never hear the last of it. It's been snowing every single day since July up north.

And if you had taken our advice, Sax, you'd have been all cuddly and warm in some weatherproof leather keks all this time.

Have to say, London has never looked lovelier! In the lane, snow is glistenin' etc. Bit high 'cause we've just heard the Edinburgh flat has tenants, lovely lovely tenants (who will keep our financial heads above water - we hope) from today!
