The internet buying stuff horrors..

I'm having one of those days where I trawl the internet looking for cool stuff i want to buy .. and fail to find any of it.. isn't that annoying?

So far I've failed to find anywhere offering:

The Crimea - 'Lottery Winners on Acid' single, the new record by the Riff Randels, video copies of Rock n Roll High School and Wild Zero (admittedly, I don't think these even exist, but it's always worth a look), that already legendary Erase Errata / Numbers 3" CD, 'Kid 606 Kicks Out the Jams'...

Honestly.. damned internet.. at the touch of a button you can buy specially converted cars that look like the one from The Munsters, Robin Hood outfits and Japanese girls pants, BUT NOT THE STUFF THE PEOPLE DEMAND!

Are my needs that obscure?

Well I found that the Blake's 7 season 1 DVD box set is being realased on the 20/1/03 and I have it on order from play247 hahahaha! And I've ordered both saphire and steel boxed sets. I am poor!

Must buy DVD Player. Must stop eating. Eating is unnecessary expense.

I thought you didn't eat already? Hence the juicer and the slender figure? maybe you have to give up juicing and eat at Greggs.

Now now, let's not say anything nasty about Gregg's. It was my second home when first I arrived on these fair shores. Even though these days there seems to be only half a product I can eat there, but that's beside the point.

Today I used the internet to find a heater for my new room which is inconveniently located in the arctic circle. And I also found some posters to cover over the cracks where the eskimos fitted the ice blocks together to build it. Yay team internet!

What's Gregg's? Now I *am* confused. Also,m have remembered I can play DVDs on my PC. So the only reason for a DVD player would in fact be to watch the Blakes 7 DVD in a different room...

Why in a different room Haus? Haven't you always dreamed of a room full of screens all playing the same thing? I have dreams like that all the time. Only problem is, there's never anything good on ...

And you've never heard of Gregg's? Shame on you! They're a bakery chain in the good ol' U of K. They're all over London so now that you've heard of them you'll start to see them everywhere. Synchronicity don't you know. It's good honest stodge.

Gregg's bakeries reproduce at the speed of erm... well very fast. Cardiff has about thirty of them but I had no idea they'd reached London!

Loomis - I don;t think my PC has TV-OUT, alas. And I already have four screen in my study, and moving th eTV in here would just be silly. And I wouldn't get any work done. Which would also be the case, of course, if I was watching B7...

There's a DVD player going for £69.99 in the sales. I'm so tempted..

And, of course, watching Blake's Seven on a TV isn't quite as sad as watching it on a PC.

I said quite.

You miss the point.

Study - office furniture, small screen close to face, PC speakers.

Lounge - big sofa, large screen far from face, Dolby sound.

It's not about sadness, it's about comfort....

Let's be, honest, sadness is a factor. Having watched DVDs on PCs myself I can testify to the bedsit loneliness of the experience. Plus with all the supersuper sound and image quality and thrilling extras, don't you want to watch them on a decent system? Otherwise it's like putting a Ferrari engine in a 2CV ...

Some Crimea here. Opalmusic have some Kid 606 including something called "Action Packed Mentallist Brings You the Fucking Jams". Hope that's what you're looking for.

Pshaw. You actually think there's sausage in the sausage rolls?

Fool.

Surely, for ultimate sad fanboy points, you would have to download rare episodes from the net in scratchy taped-off-the-TV video format? And then sit around in your pants, peering at the screen until you get eyestrain and backache?

Shut up, i wear clothes when i watch my sad downloaded blakes 7 episodes....i know a guy (by "know" i of course mean that he is a guy on the internet) who has the entire run of the show in avi format...

Thanks Rakehell, for getting me one step closer to owning that Crimea record!

I'm not sure if that's the same Kid 606 record I was reading about the other day, but Bringing the Jams or Kicking Them Out, I'm sure it's all good.. that guy could probably just play the bagpipes for an hour and I'd still love it..
