Well, just speaking about 11:11 (which is actually 23:11) I usually make a wish. Uhm, don't quite know why I do, but it seems to keep me happy.

All those days where month and day are the same, all those times when digital clocks seem like texture mapping in this real virtuality - this immersive story/rpg I inhabit. There have been times when every time I saw the time, it would wink at me thru doubled numbers.

For me, this usually happens with greatest intensity when important things are pushing forward the plot of the story. It's kinda like "no matter what era, what location you choose to experience this tale through, This chapter will always run pretty much the same."

Sometimes, that's quite comforting.

Exactly true. This particular lesson in directed perception was one of my first, as the term "synchronicity" was first beginning to worm its way into my psyche. I bought a digital watch for the first time in years because I was so struck with the phenomenon. It offered a handy, inclusive method to ascertain "magickal moments". Having since redefined every moment as magickal and gone back to a hand-faced watch, I haven't put as much thought into this everyday opportunity to see the wires and pulleys behind reality move.

I'm glad this thread topic popped up. It is a great way to start noticing things that one's psyche otherwise submerges.

I also realised that my explanation may have suggested a lack of free will. Quite the opposite. These are the times when I feel most connected, able to forge ahead, Red/Blue moments. What I didn't make clear is that these "chapters" exist as synopses, not finished works... "ahh... this is the point where you face this issue/decision/turning point." I get a say in how I face my destiny.

Maybe the bits in between are the constricted ones, once I've made the decision, chosen the path. Then it's the walking bit.

It's not that you're consciously looking for these numbers; rather, you take notice of the sequentials/palindromes/etc. because you're sensitized to them, and fail to notice numbers that don't strike your fancy--they are, for all intents, invisible.

Similar problem with the 11s; it is noted that "The Pentagon" contains 11 letters, but "The Twin Towers" does not, and is ignored. The theory comes first, the data comes second.

I don't mean to rain on the parade, here--I think synchronicities can contain very useful information. Even when I have my superrationalist hat on, I consider it useful to see what my psyche is sensitized to ("Huh, I keep noticing dinosaurs, what does that mean?"). But I feel that numerologies tend to have more noise than signal, so I don't let them dictate any more than something like what date is the most auspicious for some working.

well... this is post 232 for me, my previous post being at 5:55 Barbetime. No weird connectedness or dates with destiny. It happens all the time because I'm open to it, just with mindwarping intensity during those pivotal times.

I arrive here to find my post total at 242. I don't think I consciously set that up. Since I'm open to these things, I notice them. Tonight I was introduced to rotational symmetry. It goes like this.

Just finished the produced version of one of our tracks and was hastily driving with it to a good good friend with a good good sound system on the other side of town. I was lead car. Approaching red light, will it to change - it does. Game on. Start padding in runes to keep the run going. From that point until I finally got home, every light was on or changing to green as I approached.

I was using the scan on my radio to find a decent track for the journey... it landed on 95.6... this works best on a digital readout. Looks the same upside down. Thought no more of it. Arrived at location. Spent some time.

Come back out to the car, turn the key, clock lights - 9:56. Doubletake, look at radio - 95.6. sit there and laugh for a good thirty seconds or so before the seven comes. Drive over to play the track to another friend on my side of town, mulling over what just happened. Hit UP on the radio... next station 100.1, classical, no chance of me gleaning messages through lyrics there. Next station? 100.7. Okay. I get my next message at 10:07.

Easy drive across town. Have to sit outside his house a couple of minutes. The fateful song starts at 10:06. Ain't no sunshine when she's gone.... Ouch.

At 10:07 I heard the words "gone to stay" and switched off the car. This won't make sense to you, but as I walked to the door I heard another song in my head... something about strumming and pain.

Stayed a while at this next location. I felt low as I got back into the car. The first traffic light was on red. I approached slowly - it went green, checked the time 11:55. Game still on! Drove home with 97.9 on the radio. Back by 00:00.

I am stunned that this thread exists. Why? Because in the past couple of months I have been immersed in 11:11 synchronicity.
Whilst contemplating the circular nature of time, I noticed my digital clock at 11:11. For the next WEEK without exception, my first look at the same digital clock was at precicely 11:11 (both am and pm)
Then I saw a TV prog about Uri Geller (sorry to bring him up here)where he was talking about time synchronicity, especially 11:11. As he was talking to the camera, in true Geller style, he decieded to put it to the test, ran off impulsively to grab a clock, and he returned with a digital clock showing the time of 11:11.
Since then I have had more with 1's, my Dad's digital TV seeming to be stuck at channel 111, the same 11:11 synchronicity with analogue clocks, realising I had grown up and lived in number 11, not only that but for my first metalwork project at school had lovingly crafted a shinly metal 11 for the front door.

I know about double numbers and sequentials, but there is something *else* going on with 11 I think. And lets not forget it is the number for Magick.

BUT, when I came back to my place a mere half hour later and cracked open the latest issue of Bendis' comic book ALIAS, I see that a club that the characters go to in the comic is called......616. And it's mentioned many many times in the latter half of the comic, they show the club with the huge "616" above the door and everything. I thought, "Wow, this is just too weird."
