I'm looking at my Ericsson, and what with all the Yes/No, numbers and letters the similarity was obvious.
So here's the idea: divination via text message.
Those of you insane enough to trust your mobile numbers to someone you've never met can PM me your numbers. I'll compile a list of all participants and send you the list back in a random order, without the names of the people who are participating. We then program them into our mobiles under imaginative titles like Ouija One, Ouija Two, etc...
Whenever we need to consult an oracle, we find a random means of selecting a number on the list and text our question to that person, not knowing their identity (perhaps prefaced with the code BU for Barbeith Underground so that the recipient knows what the hell is going on). That person must then respond with wise magickal counsell via text message, from whatever means they can muster (Tarot, the Bible, I-Ching, opening to a random page of Taxi Driver Wisdom) and we let synchronicity do the rest.
Anyone game? Or do you just want to point out the obvious pitfalls?
The idea backfires if you genuinely know someone who was christened Ouija One... |
