Yes, go. It's worth it. Go for a big, long walk. Stop and see the Hyrdo Majestic near Medlow Bath, too - you'll be able to see where the fires came up to, just the other week.
I was very lucky to live up there for about a year or so, fan-fucking-tastic! And every now and again I wonder why I ever left. So breatakingly beautiful in sunshine and rain, such a very special place!
So basically, if you have the chance to go - do so!
