Yay - Christmas just got better. By better I do of course mean over. Thank goodness. This was by no means the [Simpsons comic guy} worst Christmas ever [/Simpsons comic guy], that accolade goes to the fifth Christmas in a row that I was ill. (flu, food poisoning, migrane, flu, watery stomach disorder with nausea)
I think that my high point of the festive season was when some businessman bound for Cardiff bought me a pint at Paddington as we waited for our trains. The Mutley socks run a very close second. Other than that it just seemed to be 72 hours of being catered to. I really felt less involved with Christmas this year than I ever have before and this led to feeling like a burden which is about the worst I can feel. My sad collection of personality faults apparently doesn't wear well during the so called happy season.
Nothing makes me feel better than being to say "business as usual". Welcome back real world, you are a beautiful and welcome place.
Thankfully few people feel the same way about Christmas as I do.
If you do then may I suggest we arrange a vacation to Riyadh next year. |
