What's the story with that photo, DD?
It's from a film festival I helped put together while finally finishing my degree and walking my mom through her big back/brain/neck/and-life injuries. Photo's from a panel we held on whether the signature film for the Smithsonian Museum of the Native American was handled appropriately or not. This is right before they started the debate or drifted off the debate while sitting at the table, and just enjoyed their panelist complimentary Cokes.
And, looking at the link, I just realized, my copy is flipped from the one you guys have (from flickr). Or, your copy is flipped. I'm on the right! Stupid newspaper. That really doesn't look like me. Easiest way to find me, is: I'm tiny!
Anyhow, to settle that completely (now that I'm looking at the one you can see)... from right to left: Brent Michael Davids, me, my roommate and social type worker Mark Pero, Sterlin Harjo (director, Four Sheets to the Wind), Steve Judd (dir., American Indian Graffiti), Sherwin Bistui (Whiting Award winner, Shapeshift, and part of the reason I know something's weird with this photo, because he's possibly shorter than I am), Chris Eyre (dir. Smoke Signals, Thousand Roads), and me... um, wait, no that's not me, that's local DJ Walt Lindala, and closing it out, another student, April Lindala.
I was going to say that you were the second from the left, but as a joke because I really thought you were second from the right.
gourami, you're possibly the nearest, geographically to me, right now. I could feel that confusion all the way across the desert. |
