Didn't see all of it but, from what I did see, it seemed to be at odds with the marketing. I feared a "Cannabis is bad, mmkay..." schtick but all I saw was fairly well known stuff, i.e.
1. Many people may experience persecutory feelings when stoned
2. People with a psychotic illness should steer clear of cannabis, it will further mess with your head when you're not on a level playing field to start with.
I certainly have experienced some whisper of persecutory delusion when I'm stoned and that, in the main, was why I barely ever smoke grass or hash any more. I'm sure there's a great difference in degree but I think it's useful to have some understanding of how incapacitating and emotionally ruinous feelings of persecution can be. Imagine that feeling of panic when you're stoned and the door bell rings unexpectedly, but cubed. But you've got to remember that this downside is balanced by all the good shit. And that this may be related to my chronic anxiety in unenhanced, everyday life.
I worry more about the fact that when I'm stoned I can do nothing purposeful, barely coherent usually, and will have severe munchies. At least I don't have to worry about my tendency, when drunk, to become increasingly irritable and, eventually, bellicose. Or maybe that's just my Scottish genes. |
