Hooray for Harold Lloyd
Do-do-do-doo-do-do
Harold Lloyd
Do-do-do-doo-do-do
Rain or shine he's quite a guy
(or something)
Do-do-do-do-do days gone by (possibly)
Hooray for Harold Lloyd
Do-doo-do-do-do-doo-do.

Well, I would consult my 'Harold Lloyd Theme Tune Lyric Compendium', but you didn't say 'please'.

Although you've obviously tried www.haroldlloyd.com haven't you? What's that? You haven't?

Hmmm...I've just checked said website and there doesn't appear to be a listing there. Sax has some of them, but I definately recall a bit with 'make way for Harold Lloyd, do-do-do-dodo-doo-doo'. Sticking a request onto the Harold Lloyd forum is probably your best bet...

Make with the clicky for a crap-ass .WAV file.

I'm not entirely sure Jack's wav file is the complete piece. It sounds kind of clipped at the end, although I could just have a false memory about it being longer.

It starts, "Make way for Harold Lloyd". Sax has got some of the rest and Fridge is right about "a pair of glasses and a smile".

Oh God, this is really, really going to bug me now.

Well, Jack's wav seems to say:

Hooray for Harold Lloyd
Dodo-do-do-do-do-do-do-doo-do
Harold Lloyd
Dodo-do-do-do-do-do-do-doo-do
Black or white, he's that guy
A pair of glasses and a smile
Hooray for Harold Lloyd
Dodo-do-do-do-do-do-do-doo-do
Da-da-da-da-dada-da

But I'm sure there's more to it than that...

God how I used to love Harold Lloyd. Not physically you understand. I can't tell you what a comfort he's been to me over the lean years. The number of times I've found myself dangling from a clockface... at least you know you're not the only one... A pair of glasses and a smile...

Dangling from the clockface is a great image - much better than that one of the cat on a branch and the words 'hang in there'. I have the Lloyd-clock interface on my bedroom door actually. Small one off of a greeting card. Subtly done I feel.

just remembered an interesting story i saw on harold lloyd some years ago on the telly ... apparently , midway through his career , he was involved in an accident with a prop bomb which he was holding in his hand.

the bomb went off and blew some of his fingers off - the last two of his left hand i believe ...

if you watch closely in his later films , apparently you can see that his left hand is fitted with a very tight-fitting 'plastic' glove which has two false fingers on it but still allows him to move his remaining fingers ...

last time i told that story at a party , the man next to me had missing fingers ... HIDEOUSLY embarassing - as were the resulting tumbleweeds that blew through the room ...

i hasten to add that i had NOT noticed his missing fingers prior to the story ...

still LOVE harold lloyd though
