Just got the old high-speed hook-up, surrendering clothes for my little one for the pleasures of a quick internet service. What cool stuff is there out there that I should definitely look at now that I won't have to wait 8 million hours for it to load up? Direct me and mold me into the Zoom that you crave.

I have also recently got high-speed cable internet but I haven't found that much worth doing, except downloading large pieces of software, linux distros and file-sharing.

I suggest you get Kazaa Lite and rip off several thousand dollars' worth of audio and video. While you're doing that, you can think of something else. Look at all those Flash sites you couldn't be arsed checking before. Try Stick Figure Death Theatre, or b3ta.

Well, since getting a high-speed connection myself it's amazing how much has become absolutely vital to download which I hadn't given a second thought whilst on dial-up. Erm...by 'vital', I mean of course Buffy episodes....ahem...

Internet radio is nice to have running in the background and you should be able to get a listenable sound quality, dude, while you're surfing other sites! Flaresound Jazzy Beats is one I've listened to, but I haven't checked it for a while. Mostly, I'm a BBC Radio 4 listener, and I catch up on shows I've missed via the RealPlayer streams they have.

A lot of news sites have video feeds, if you're into that, personally, after the novelty of watching TV on my computer had worn off, I remembered the old-fashioned text versions gave more info.
