At the minute I am sitting down chilling out and god (or satan) forgive me am watching Speed II - cruise control. For the life of me what the fuck is the point of this film. Correct me if i am wrong but is is not just a montage of sandy bollocks being a flaky little biatch, is it jason patric (witchout any k) being the hero, willem dafoe being the baddie and no substance whatsoever. This fuckers character reckons he's going to marry that hooker for 50 years. What?
The real reason to start this thread was due to watching Dog Soldiers and Blade II in the same night about 6 weeks agoo.
Dog soldiers - fuckking briliant - there's 2k's 'cos, in all fairness any film that has the sargeant being is dembowelled and still shooting, swearing and living is OK in my book.
Then again - Blade II - pure fucking drivel. Reapers look pretty cool in it I will say that, but,... I like having even a bit of a storyline. Wesley snipes is probably great if you like muscular dudes but I'm sorry that film was just a load of pants for me.
This could lead on to the whole vampire werewolves thing...

I am just after deleting a load of stuff I just wrote cos I am silly and pissed so there ya go.
I enjoy shit horror and dodgy scifi (pronounced SKIFFee) but blade 2 got a bit much for me. The only thing I can remember is the reapers which look wicked but the rest of the film does't make any sense at all.
Anyway the point of this whole thread is why so many modern films are pure mind numbing crap. I that there is a bigger interest in fantasy than there has been for many (since I've been alive(1976) years but at the same time there is a bigger dumbing down on in progress (general populace). Would you like to talk about this? |
