We're going to take over you know, just imagine swarms of them breaking down your door and dragging you out onto the street. The time is getting closer!
It worked for me just like normal on my Win 98 peecee: save the file by right-clicking, go Start\Settings\Active desktop\Customize My Desktop\Background, then browse for your file and apply. Say yes to the "view desktop as web page" or whatever question if it comes up.
Don't think it will work on Mac OS 9.*, don't know about OS X or Linux.
But ... you're using up memory displaying wallpaper, I guess especially so with animated wallpaper. And I'd have to love the image to have it pulsing away all the time. :-)
BTW, that's "save as ..." when you right click. Not "save as wallpaper." And don't be thinking I know everything about these infernal machines, because I don't. :-)
