@You're being highly selective in your sources.@
As I have to be, a broader selection necessitates more time to pluck and represent an all-inclusive posting. Remember ‘this is just the tip,’ a few posts earlier?
@The al-Qaeda-threatens-Israel story has gotten very little play in the U.S. media: now, given that the U.S. is Israel's staunchest ally, and given that current conspiracy theory holds that the U.S. government is a puppet in thrall to Zionist forces, doesn't that strike you as odd?@
Given that you opened this can, let me tell you that the odd thing doesn’t stop there – 1,6 Trillion to Israel, Why? And why does it surface now?
@there is no monolithic media voice in the States: there is instead a plurality of voices, each accusing the other of bias.@
In a perfect world, division doesn’t exist. We both know that this isn’t a perfect world. Diverse division can be said to be a plus for the people, as every mind has the right to support an idea, a stance and action according to their heart’s desire. Except that censorship exists, and that an anti-stance to the ruling parties is punishable, now in a much more overt way in the U.S. Any clashes of ideologies and deeply held beliefs should ideally leave both parties with something to chew on, raising the level of knowledge and compassion – a fact which isn’t employed very much in the world of news and politics.
Diverse division can also be a hindrance to growth and advance inert POVs, a being trapped in a sea of dilemma and therefore more prone to passivity, which isn’t a healthy position for human beings.
What one can strive towards is be true to one’s own nature, and hopefully not be against the laws of nature which are very basic. However, there are too many people who are not aware of certain things and who are kept in that place of ignorance by so many things in life, and I call that suppression. Suppression exists, Jack, which robs people from choices. By discovering and enacting some choices, it is certainly possible to maintain a balance with oneself and sharpen one’s perceptiveness.
@By choosing the news items you did, you attempted to manipulate the debate, just as blatantly as if you had included "meditated responses" after your items.@
Newsflash, Jack, this is a debate forum. When doesn’t an instigator manipulate the debate, especially the creator of the topic? But it doesn’t necessarily mean that I won’t budge. Quite the contrary, this is vastly removed from my past attitudes, haven’t you noticed how hard I am trying to mingle?
@Ommission can be as powerful a persuader as inclusion: I intuited what you were trying to convey bsed on your past attitudes, and the highly selective manner in which presented your items.
You don't necessarily need to tell people what to think, if you can control what they think about. And your attempt to do so irritates me@
Jumping the gun here but missing the point entirely, I am interested in the threats which are routinely announced and I wonder why this is so – a potent threat is, after all, something that causes effects, it isn’t an entity upon itself, only.
So, for your Zionism-conspiracy debate, go elsewhere. For everything else, put your 2 cents in. |
